Real Estate Needs

Keep in mind that any realtor can help you buy or sell a home. On the buy side it is basically free for you to use a realtor. They can help you find the perfect home, help negotiate, and keep all the paperwork in order and on time, and best of all they are working for you not the seller…

New community being built out in Apison called Prairie Pass with nice smaller homes. Check out this article….

Here is some addition information about the First Time Tax Credit. Check it out here. It gives more guidelines than the frequently asked questions link I have posted before.

Cost Value Survey

This is a great tool to figure out what the value of any upgrades you may want to do for you home. I have linked it to the Southeastern District, but here is the link to get whichever region of the US you may be looking for. Check it out if you are considering upgrading anything in your home.

Tax Credit can be used for closing costs

Check it out here. There is also a chance for those who make above the set limit on income to still get a tax credit (it is just a bit reduced) so it is worth checking into even if you are above the $75,000 single income and $150,000 joint income.

Crazy Weeks

After a week of strange weather, tons and tons of rain, a new baby niece, and a difficult week personally I have failed to post about the market conditions. If you ask me real estate in Chattanooga is absolutely on the rise. If you are needing to sell your home now is just as good a time as any. There are buyers out there looking for the best deal possible, but if you have a great product I firmly believe you can get the price you want (this is of course being reasonable).

There have been a couple of homes with great value for moderate prices coming up in North Chattanooga. Check out 1254 Duane Road, Chattanooga, TN 37405. It is a great 3bd/2ba home on a fabulous street just minutes from downtown.
Check out the rates they are still low.
Have a great Monday!

Tuesday Tidings

Check out this house located at 1515 Bailey Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37404. It is a beautiful home in Highland Park 3,000 sq.ft. 4bd/3.5ba all for $289,632. It has been completely renovated and is really spectacular.

This article at Chattanoogan.com is a great reminder of why I love Chattanooga. With the help of Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union, Chattanooga Neighborhood Enterprises, and AIM Center some special needs individuals are now able to purchase a home of their own.
Finally another political push for Rob Healy for Mayor of Chattanooga. As a Chattanooga native I can safely say there is no way I will vote for a mayor who has no social conscience and continues to come up with ridiculous ideas to solve problems. Last year when there was a significant amount of pollution in the air he suggested that every person owning an air purifier put it outside to try to help “clean” the air. I’d say that pretty much sums up my opinion of him. Healy is not completely without fault, but what  aspiring politician is? Vote Healy March 3rd!
