Too Long

It has been a while since I’ve posted sorry about that.

There is not much new news around the real estate world. The market is still in recovery and the tax credit is still set to expire Dec. 1st of this year. That said there is a BIG push from the Realtor association and many other advocates to have the tax credit extended and possibly expanded. I’ve heard up to $15,000, so all hope is not lost, but I am not sure it is worth the gamble either. With the country’s deficit on the rise daily it seems nearly impossible to continue to hand out money to people, but that hasn’t slowed the government down recently so I guess we’ll just see.

That said I have a great house to check out and use that $8000 tax credit on. 611 Texas Ave. Signal Mtn, TN 37377 priced at $159,900 with 3bd/1.5ba  1460sqft and a huge fenced in backyard. Walking distance to Signal Point and in the heart of the Old Town district. Check it out and bring an offer soon before it is snatched up. There is a possible lease/purchase option available on this home for the right candidate.

Neutral Party

I am not a neutral party when it comes to government, but perhaps I should be….This article explores Obama’s stand on home ownership vs. rental. Looks like more government for all and where is all that money this incredibly wealthy government is getting coming from??? That being said rent is the only option for some people right now but rent can very easily be more expensive than a mortgage. Being mindful of where your money is going is important but so is being able to afford owning a home which comes with sometimes large bills, i.e. new roof, new a/c, water damage etc…

Check out this great home on at 1606 Wood Nymph Trail Lookout Mountain, GA 30750. 3bd/2ba with over an acre of land for $224,900. You cannot beat the price for the area!

Chattanooga Outlook

Another day another way….Isn’t that the catch phrase for all who have just encountered what seems to be the unending stream of obstacles? That is quickly becoming my catch phrase.

There has to be a better way than the way now…Any suggestions?
Next on the list is of course the rates for the day. Check it out!
Of course we have the house of the day in order. I have chosen a wonderful home atop Missionary Ridge located at 548 N Crest Ct. Chattanooga, TN 37404. It is a beautifully done 3bd/3.5 ba home with an in law suite. The price has just been reduced to $199,900. I do not think you can pass this one up!
Just on a side note Zach Wamp is going to run for Governor of Tennessee and I for one think that is exciting. It seems a natural step for him to take and over the years he has proved himself a loyal servant to Tennessee. Here is the article
