New Search Tool for Home Buyers

Last night on Twitter I noticed another real estate blogger post a video about a website call Dwellicious.com. Basically it takes the frustration out of searching for homes. You add it as a bookmark and it you can tag your choice home from whatever website with comments about what you liked. So basically you can still search all the many different places you want to find a home, but this will keep them all in one place.  Check it out if you get a chance!

Green Chattanooga

Last week I went to the first annual 20/20 Summit sponsored by YPAC, and they had some really great speakers and opportunities for volunteering. One of the speakers there was the guy in charge of the Chattanooga Green Movement. They have a variety of ‘action teams’ that are looking for volunteers preferably with an interest in making Chattanooga a more sustainable place. The cities website is here.

Littlefield wins

Well Ron Littlefield walked away with the Mayoral win last night despite his blatant disrespect for the Young Professional community. We sure did not show him though. He took 57% of the vote. What are we thinking. Why do we want traffic cameras and a homeless campus. I really hope that does not go through this term. It would be the downfall of the city for sure! I have a sneaking suspicion that many young people with bumper stickers and signs in their yards failed to make it to the polls. SHAME ON YOU! Hypocrisy doesn’t change the status quo. Check out the article on the Chattanoogan.com.

What Crisis

It seems there are moments of pure mania regarding the current economic situations and then you read articles like this. Zach Wamp was able to raise over a million dollars in less than a month. I for one support Zach Wamp in his endeavor to run for Governor of Tennessee and perhaps it is situation where people are willing to give what they’ve got in an effort to put someone in office that will fight for their causes and truly return Tennessee’s economy to growth. Wow, a million in less than a month when many are out of jobs and losing their homes, it is truly remarkable. If you would like to contribute to his cause visit www.ZachWamp.com.

Rates seem to be hanging in at the 5.25-5.45% mark around here. Check out www.bankrate.com for the latest.
