Haywood Ave.

There have been a couple of new listings on Haywood Ave of late, and this one in particular struck my fancy. It is 2712 Haywood Ave. Chattanooga, TN 37415, a 3bd/2ba one level home located just outside of North Chattanooga. It has a wonderful yard and all hardwoods throughout for $168,000. It is only 1300 sq ft. so it does seem a bit overpriced, but it does have nice charm.

Check out those rates today. www.bankrate.com
This is a side note for those living in the North Chattanooga area about the recent change in traffic flow on Barton Ave. Check out this article for an explanation.
Have a GREAT Tuesday! I’ve always been a fan of Tuesday….

The Market and Interest Rate

According to ‘experts’ out there, the nations housing market appears to finally be on the mend. The housing prices in many areas continue to decline, but the sale of homes is rising. That being said the bottom is pretty much here and now. The interest rates look to be at the cusp of rising which equals out any additional drop in a homes price, that being said each home is different as is each area in the country. Check out the article here….

No new listings to show, but interestingly enough the home posted on Colville last week has already gone under contract, as has the home on Merriam. The ones in the North Chattanooga go quickly if they are a good buy for a good property.
Have a great Monday.

20/50/30 Rule

Interesting article about a different take on the 80/20 rule. They have broken it down to 20/50/30 rule, which I happen to believe is the case. Check it out here.

Check out this house at 211 Baker St. Chattanooga, TN 37405. It is a 3bd/2.5ba in North Chattanooga with a 2 car garage, built 2003, and have a really nice interior on a good street for $289,500.
Have a great Monday!
